Brother

April 2nd, 2014

Brother 1We are saddened by the loss of our second greeter cat Brother. Although named “Brother” our vet says he was most likely Loverboy’s father as he was about 3 years older than his look-alike. Brother came to us as a stray in 2004. He was about 5 years old at the time & had been a feral cat all his life. It took us about 3 weeks to get close enough to him to grab him & the first thing we did was to take him to the vet to be fixed. After the surgery the vet said we had to keep him indoors for 10 days so his stitches could heal. So we locked him in the bathroom. He spent the first few days climbing the walls literally and sitting atop our shower. After 10 days we put down some food in the kitchen & opened the front door thinking we’d  just spent $100 to neuter a cat we’d never see again. He sauntered out of the bathroom, checked out the dinner offering, ate everything on the plate, then made his way to the sofa & curled up for a nap. He was with us for almost a decade & was at least 15 when he passed.

Loverboy

It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of our beloved greeter cat Loverboy on February 6th, 2013.

For over a decade he greeted every one of our guests on their arrival. He truly lived up to his name Loverboy. He loved everybody.
